[Korean training] 축하해요 (Super beginner)

안녕하세요? I'm your Korean language trainer Danny.★

I'm still practicing expressions while muttering to myself.
At first I kept forgetting, but now I can remember.
I feel good. :)
Let's start today's expressions.

1. 축하해요.

You can use this expression for someone who has some good situation.
It is 'congratulation' in English.
For example, if you want to celebrate someone's birthday, you can use '생일' means 'birthday' in front of '축하해요'.
'생일 축하해요'
We can speak [추카해요] to pronounce it naturally.

  • 축하해요
  • 생일 축하해요

2. 미안해요.

You can use this expression when you make a mistake to someone.
It is 'I'm sorry' in English.
In the formal situation, you can say '죄송합니다'
It is more natural to pronounce [죄송니다].

  • 미안해요
  • 죄송합니다

3. 다음에 만나요.

You can say "See you." in English.
As with English, we usually use it with '안녕히 가세요' or '안녕히 계세요'.
You can move last consonant 'ㅁ' of '음' to '에' to pronounce naturally.
So, it becomes [다으메 만나요].
If you promised to meet tomorrow, you can use '내일' instead of '다음에'.

  • 다음에 만나요
  • 내일 만나요
