[Korean training] N이/가 어디에 있어요? (Beginner)

In the 'Beginner', I'll post simple grammar to practice related expressions.
Based on the knowledge of grammar,
you'll be able to speak various expressions yourself.
And I recommend you to change example sentences with words
that you usually use in daily life.
Because it is effective to study the words that you use most often first.

1. N이/가 어디에 있어요?

In the last post, we've learned how to ask and answer about quantity.
And we used the interrogative '몇'.
Click → [ N이/가 몇 개 있어요? ]
Today, we'll use the interrogative '어디'.
We can ask 'location' of something.

• 가방이 어디에 있어요?
• 동생이 어디에 있어요?
• 강아지가 어디에 있어요?

2. N이/가 ____에 있어요.

The answer is also simple.
We just change '어디' to 'place'.

• 가방이 학교에 있어요.
• 동생이 병원에 있어요.
• 강아지가 집에 있어요.

Now let's learn some words of direction.

앞에	Front	[아페]
옆에	Side	[여페]
뒤에	Back	[뒤에]
오른쪽에	Right	[오른쪼게]
왼쪽에	left	[왼쪼게]
안에	Inside	[아네]
밖에	Outside	[바께]

You can also combine the words of place and direction.

• 가방이 학교 앞에 있어요.
• 동생이 병원 옆에 있어요.
• 강아지가 집 뒤에 있어요.

【 Important tip 】
The postposition '에' has many meanings.
But now, let's consider '에' indicates that the preceding word is a certain place or space.
